HowStuffWorks

Another amazingly informational web site that covers everything from how alcoholism works to how zombies work is www.howstuffworks.com. "HowStuffWorks is the leading source of credible, unbiased, and easy-to-understand explanations of how the world actually works. Founded by North Carolina State University Professor Marshall Brain in 1998, the site has since grown to be an award-winning online resource for millions of people of all ages. "

There is a tab called 'Computer Stuff' that will open up a whole new world of definitions and explanations for you. Learn how USB ports work; learn how Bits and Bytes work; learn how Firewalls work.

Not only is this web site informational, it is written in simple language that even the most non-technical person will be able to understand. You can get lost in the pages of details until you realize it's time for supper and you haven't had breakfast yet! A definite head nod to this wonderful site.
